The PCV system is located under the intake manifold and these vehicles have the same issues (leaking, collapsed,cracked PCV hose). This is not a quickie repair. Hitting Chevy and GMC trucks starting in 2004, the LLY Duramax is the 2nd version of the 6.6L V8 Duramax. In order to meet stricter emissions regulations, the LLY replaced the LB7 engine and was the first Duramax to use EGR emissions technology.Replaced the PCV and it was still leaking. Took it in to a shop on Tuesday and had a gasket replaced and today it was still Leaking and ALOT more. It turns out we need to replace the whole vacuum pump because oil is now inside due to the PCV putting too much pressure in the seal it broke and somehow oil traveled in there.
